A Comprehensive Action Plan for Promoting Responsible Fan Behavior
As one of the world’s largest sponsors of athletic events, Anheuser-Busch has a long-standing relationship with the sports community and the many fans who attend the thousands of events held across the country each year. To help promote positive fan behavior at these large sporting events, Anheuser-Busch offers a comprehensive program called Good Sport. Used at venues across the country, Good Sport helps sports teams and event organizers ensure that events are safe, fun-filled and family-friendly. The program’s success is built on a team approach involving implementation of Good Sport concepts by team owners, facility managers, concessionaires, security personnel and other event staff. The program encourages personal responsibility, respect for other fans and respect for the law. Good Sport gives us the tools we need to get ahead of the game!
Here locally, Wisconsin Distributors challenges you to become a Good Sport! At every Madison Mallards home game we encourage you to sign up as a Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver. You will receive one free soda and a chance to win a Mallards Baseball jersey. One jersey is given away to one of our Budweiser Good Sport Designated Drivers each game.
Street Smart reminds teens and adults alike of the dangers of underage drinking, drunk driving, illegal drug use and not wearing seat belts. Taught by certified paramedics, this program helps audiences better understand the consequences of their actions, in turn helping reduce the number of accidents and fatalities each year.
Street Smart engages viewers rather than lecturing or preaching to them. Using factual information, actual medical equipment and demonstrations involving audiences, the paramedics provide a real-life look at the consequences of irresponsible actions. In addition, viewers learn to recognize EMS procedures, which may reduce anxiety in future trauma experiences. This is beneficial not only to the patient, but to first responders, rescue and emergency room personnel.
Street Smart is presented by members of Stay Alive From Education (S.A.F.E.), a non-profit organization created in 1988 by firefighter/paramedics in Miami-Dade County, Florida, dedicated to reducing injuries and fatalities. The Street Smart presentation has been reaching students and military personnel across the country with its powerful message since 2002.

Each year, from May 23rd – June 5th, Wisconsin Distributors promotes and encourages consumers to “take the pledge”. Pledging not to shave for 2 weeks in an effort to save water and promote World Environment Day.

Family Talk About Drinking
As students and their families celebrate prom, graduation, holidays etc., it’s the perfect time to share our underage-drinking prevention resources and messages, including our literature: Family Talk About Drinking to discourage underage drinking in our communities!!
Family Talk is a tool to help parents confidently and honestly talk with kids about how to make smart choices when faced with the pressure to drink alcohol. Lastly, the literature can be used to remind other adults that it’s never OK to provide or buy alcohol for minors.
